Tearoom & Plant Nursery
Our Tearoom Staff, Barbara, Gina, & Trinity look forward to receiving you. Cakes are homemade in variety – such as our coconut and lime sponge (gluten free), or freshly made sandwiches with your choice of fillings, fresh Quiches, including Vegetarian, together with healthy & imaginative salads.
For something more substantial, we serve daily seasonal specials, freshly made with local produce wherever possible, from our Vegetable/Potager Garden.
Glenwhan Tearoom has been awarded ‘Taste Our Best‘ from Visit Scotland. We are, naturally, very proud to have received this accolade.
Parties are catered for but we would appreciate prior notice. Buses can get right to the Tearoom/Gardens. We allow Free Entrance to the Tearoom, even if you do not want to go round the Gardens, but we would naturally like you to!
Tessa is a graduate of the Cordon Bleu School of Cookery, and maintains a keen interest in the menu and quality of the ingredients.
Our Potager is where we grow many of the vegetables and herbs used in our Tearoom. Designed by Richard Knott, The Potager is developing nicely and is already a great attraction with our visitors. Potatoes, Peas, Broadbeans, Lettuce, and later Runner Beans, are growing apace, and by our tunnels we grow Brassicas, Courgettes, Carrots, and Beetroot.
Visit our plant nursery where we have an extensive stock which changes weekly, for you to browse. We can propagate particular plants in our large tunnel, on request as seen in the Gardens. Ask one of the Staff, and you can always write in the Visitors Book leaving name of plant, your name and address.
