Described as one of the most beautiful gardens in Scotland, situated at 300 feet, overlooking Luce Bay and the Mull of Galloway, with clear views to the Isle of Man. Thirty- ve years ago there was wild moorland, but with dedication and vision, you can now see glorious collections of plants from around the world. There is colour in all seasons and the winding paths, well placed seats, and varied sculptures, focusing around small lakes, add to the tranquil atmosphere. There is a 17 acre moorland wild ower walk, the chance to see red squirrels and a well marked Tree Trail.
Seven miles east of Stranraer, one mile off A75 at Dunragit (follow brown VisitScotland signs).

Thriving plant nursery and tearoom with delicious home produce. Parties catered for with notice. Although disabled access is partial, access is available in most parts. Pond dipping and wildlife trails, moorland walks, easter egg hunt and children’s quiz.

Glenwhan Garden Tearoom serves the needs of our Visitors who come to see the Lovely Gardens at Glenwhan. 12 acres of beautiful Gardens overlooking Luce Bay and the Mull of Galloway.
The Tearoom serves home cooked meals using locally sourced ingredients and fresh vegetables and eggs produced on the premises, where possible and when in season. Every effort is made to source the ingredients grown as close to the premises, and emphasis is on Scottish suppliers.
